The independent profit copilot for TikTok Shop sellers

Your GMV is not your money.

Clarum connects to your TikTok Shop, rebuilds every order's P&L with every fee named, reconciles the result against your settlement statements, and tells you the three things most worth doing about it each day.

Official TikTok Shop APIs, read-only. No scraping, ever. Clarum is in early access: our TikTok Shop app is in partner review, and the first cohort connects when it clears.

The gap

Where a $25 order actually goes

Seller Center leads with GMV. Between the sale and the payout sits a cost stack with its own names and its own rules: a referral fee that varies by category, shipping that depends on who fulfilled the order, affiliate commission, creator samples, refunds and their administration fee (20% of the reversed referral fee, capped at $5 per SKU), and your own COGS. Add it up honestly and a shop that looks successful in Seller Center can be netting 2-5%.

The incumbent

Your real competitor is a spreadsheet

Most operators track profit in a sheet someone updates by hand. It is free, it is yours, and it is the right instinct: own your numbers. Here is where the sheet breaks, and what owning your numbers looks like with an engine behind it.

The job Your spreadsheet Seller Center Clarum
Fee rules when TikTok changes them You update them, if you heard about the change Always current, rarely explained Versioned rules, applied as of each order's date
Refunds and reversals Usually a note to fix later Netted into payout totals Reversed line by line, refund admin fee included
Checked against the settlement statement Rarely, by hand It is the statement Reconciled within 1%, or treated as a defect in Clarum

How it works

Connect. Recompute. Act.

01

Connect your shop

Authorize Clarum through TikTok Shop's official connect flow. Read-only, three steps, and you never type your TikTok credentials into Clarum. The trailing 90 days of orders, settlements and catalog import while you watch: your complete fee ledger and contribution are live from the first sync, and net profit lands as soon as your product costs do, because Clarum will not invent them.

02

Every order, rebuilt

Clarum recomputes each order line by line: revenue, each named fee, shipping by fulfillment path, commission, samples, COGS. The ledger reconciles against your settlement statements. A gap larger than 1% is treated as a defect in Clarum, never absorbed as noise.

03

Three things a day

Each morning, at most three recommendations, each grounded in your own numbers with a stated “because” and an expected impact range. Deadlines get countdowns and escalating alerts. No infinite dashboard to babysit.

The product

Four instruments, one number that matters

Net profit is the first number on every screen. GMV is context. Everything below exists to move the first number and protect the account that produces it.

True Profit Engine

P&L for every order, SKU and day. Drill from a month down to a single order's fee waterfall. Sort by net profit, margin and trend, and see which SKUs quietly lose money on every sale. Product cost comes only from you: CSV upload, per-SKU entry, or a Cost API your own tooling can drive. Until a cost lands, Clarum shows contribution before product cost, never a guessed net.

Risk Guard

Product takedowns, platform penalty charges and shop status changes are detected automatically and translated into plain English with the deadline attached. Shop-level account health has no public API, TikTok shows it only in Seller Center, so Clarum tracks it from your guided entry and runs the countdown from there. Alerts escalate at 7 days, 48 hours and 12 hours, and the appeal checklist is one click away. Clarum is a second set of eyes on Seller Center, never a replacement for it.

Ask Clarum

Operational questions answered from a curated policy knowledge base, every source cited with a last-verified date. Where your own numbers are relevant, they are merged in and traceable. When Clarum does not know, it says so.

What does TikTok take on a $25 order in my category?

At your category's 6% referral rate, $1.50, and on a current US order that is the whole platform-fee story: the old $0.30 transaction fee was retired in April 2023, and there is no separate payment processing fee. What actually eats a $25 order is shipping, affiliate commission and samples.

The month view

One order is the proof. The month is the point.

One order, rebuilt line by line, is how you know the method works. A month of them is what you open Clarum for: net profit across every order, reconciled against your settlement statements, and the factors pushing margin down, ranked by what each one cost you, each with its action attached. Payout equals sales minus each named fee, and nothing hides in “miscellaneous”.

It contributes $2.90 a unit before commission and -$0.70 after, at the plan's 20% across 480 units, $1,728.00 paid.

Lower the plan's rate: contribution covers up to 16.1% before the unit goes negative.

Risk-$50.00

The settlement states the amount and not the reason, so Clarum reports exactly that and will not invent one.

The appeal path and its deadline are tracked in Risk Guard.

Every June SKU carried a seller-supplied cost, so these are net figures, not contribution before product cost. And every comparison is your shop against its own history: Clarum shows no peer benchmark it cannot ground and no per-creator numbers TikTok's API does not carry, because it does not guess.

An illustrative month, labelled as such, and internally exact: the lines above sum to the net to the cent, the way the product's own monthly statement must.

Talk to us about Command

Prices are for launch. The first cohort connects once Clarum's TikTok Shop partner review completes, and invited sellers are told the date before they commit to anything. Trials are 14 days, card-free, one per shop, and unlock the Scale tier. Annual billing takes two months off. Downgrading never deletes data, and risk alerts keep firing through any billing grace period.

For scale, look one section up: the month view's top finding is a single listing losing $964 a month, three times Scale's price.

Every locked surface in the product states specifically what it holds for your shop, computed from your real data. A generic paywall is a bug we want reported.

Questions

Asked plainly, answered plainly

Can I connect my shop today?

Not yet. Clarum's TikTok Shop app is in partner review, and connections open when it clears. The early-access list is real and deliberately small: invited sellers are told the date as soon as there is one, and nobody pays anything before their shop is connected and they choose a paid tier.

Is Clarum affiliated with TikTok?

No. Clarum is an independent product. It reads your shop's data through TikTok Shop's official APIs with your explicit authorization, and its advice answers to your margin, not to platform spend.

How does Clarum get my data?

Through the official TikTok Shop authorization flow, read-only. You never type your TikTok credentials into Clarum. On connect, it imports the trailing 90 days of orders, settlements and catalog, and keeps syncing from there. Creator sample costs are entered by you, and Clarum keeps them visible as marketing cost.

What if I do not know my exact COGS?

Clarum never estimates your product cost. No category average, no target margin applied to your prices: a cost Clarum did not receive is a cost it does not have. Until a SKU has a real cost, Clarum shows revenue, every TikTok fee itemised, and contribution before product cost, a complete and honestly named figure, rather than a net profit it cannot compute. Costs come in three ways: CSV upload, per-SKU entry, or the Cost API. Point your own tooling, or an agent working from your supplier invoices and cost sheets, at the API: it reports which SKUs are missing a cost, ranked by the revenue at stake, records where every number came from, and recomputes history as costs land. Costs are dated, so a June price rise never reprices March.

What does the “estimated” badge mean?

It marks a figure that rests on a model of platform behaviour rather than a confirmed record. Two examples: a fee computed from the published rate schedule before your settlement statement confirms it, and the modelled share of a returned unit's cost expected to be recovered. The badge propagates, so any figure computed from an estimated input is estimated too. What never wears the badge is an invented fact about your business: Clarum does not estimate your product cost at all, because a wrong figure in the first position on the screen is worse than an absent one.

Where does my data go?

Raw shop data stays inside your workspace, scoped to your shop, and is not shared with other tenants or used to build public databases. The one narrow movement is text generation: when Clarum phrases an answer or a brief, the figures involved go to an AI provider only under terms that prohibit training on them. If you delete your account, your shop data is deleted within 30 days. The privacy policy is the binding version of this answer.

My shop does not settle in USD. Can I use Clarum?

Not yet. Clarum v1 is built for US shops settling in USD, and rather than mislabel your currency it will decline to connect and offer you the waitlist. Multi-currency support is a feature we intend to build deliberately, not a limitation we paper over.

Early access

The audit is free. The first cohort is small.

Clarum is onboarding a small first cohort of US TikTok Shop sellers. The Profit Audit is free, and safety-critical risk facts stay free on every tier after it. Our TikTok Shop app is in partner review: connections open when it clears, and invited sellers are told the date as soon as there is one. Once open, connecting is designed to take about ten minutes, with your fee ledger and contribution live from the first sync.

US shops, USD settlement, for now. Tell us your category and roughly how many orders you ship a month; invites go out in order of fit, not order of arrival. What you send is used only to manage early access, is never shared, and is deleted on request.

That is the whole pitch, with the terms and the privacy policy written to be read rather than survived. If this sounds like the instrument you have been missing, ask for a place in the first cohort.
