Terms of service
The service
Clarum computes profit figures, risk signals, and operational recommendations from the data in your own connected TikTok Shop account, together with the costs you provide. By creating an account or using Clarum you agree to these terms.
Early access
Clarum is in early access and accounts are not yet open: our TikTok Shop app is in partner review, and the first cohort connects when it clears. These terms are published now so you can read what you would be agreeing to; they take effect for you when you create an account. Features, surfaces, and prices may change while the product finds its final shape, and material changes to these terms are announced to account holders by email before they take effect.
Your account
You confirm that you are authorized to connect the shop you connect, and to grant Clarum read access to its data. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for the people you invite into your workspace.
Your data
Your shop data and the costs you provide are yours. You retain all rights to them; you give Clarum permission to store, process, and display that data solely to provide the service to you. Clarum treats it as confidential and uses it only as the privacy policy describes: never sold, never shared with other customers, never used to train models.
Acceptable use
Do not resell, scrape, or redistribute Clarum or its output as a service; do not attempt to access another customer's workspace; do not use Clarum for unlawful purposes. Clarum reads TikTok Shop data only through official APIs, and it will not help you circumvent TikTok Shop policies; Ask Clarum declines such requests and explains the account-standing risk instead.
Fees, trials, and billing
The Profit Audit tier is free. Paid tiers are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Trials are 14 days, card-free, one per shop, and unlock the Scale tier. Downgrading or cancelling never deletes your data, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period unless you ask for it immediately.
What the figures are, and are not
Clarum reconstructs your profit and loss from the records available to it, and marks anything derived from an estimate as estimated. Its figures are operational information to run your shop by. They are not tax advice, accounting advice, legal advice, or investment advice, and Clarum is not a system of record for tax filings or statutory accounts. Verify figures that matter against your own settlement statements and with your accountant. You remain responsible for your business, your taxes, and your own compliance with TikTok Shop policies and applicable law.
The reconciliation standard
Clarum holds itself to an internal engineering standard: computed totals should reconcile with your settlement statements within 1%, and a larger gap is treated as a defect in Clarum to be fixed. That is the standard the product is built and tested to. It is a discipline, not a warranty, and it does not guarantee that any particular figure is error-free.
No warranty, and limits on liability
Clarum is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Clarum disclaims all warranties, and its total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you paid none. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
TikTok
Clarum is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance. TikTok is a trademark of its respective owner. TikTok may change its APIs, fees, or policies at any time, which can change or remove Clarum features that depend on them.
Ending things
You can stop using Clarum at any time, and on request your account and shop data are deleted within 30 days, as the privacy policy describes. Clarum may suspend an account that breaches these terms, with notice where practical.
